Casey's ATA Black Belt Academy is a family oriented facility where we are interested in the complete personal development of each student. It is important to us that you enjoy learning Songahm ATA forms, feel proud earning the next belt, and love the art of Taekwondo. We even offer Birthday Party Celebrations for the entire family and all of your friends.

Background Information

Mrs. Lesley Casey began teaching Taekwondo as a Camo belt in Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri. She taught for her instructor, 5th degree Black Belt, Mr. Robert Howard. Mr. Howard owns four Taekwondo schools in the state of MO.  When the Casey’s moved to West Virginia, Mrs. Casey attended the seminars required by the ATA to become a school owner.

In September 2004, Mark and Lesley Casey opened their first school, which was WV’s only ATA sanctioned school, on the Mileground. Due to interest and student enrollment in August 2006, the Casey’s ATA Black Belt Academy was moved to its current larger location in Star City. In June 2008, the Casey’s opened their second school in Bridgeport, WV.

Although the martial art techniques we teach are
centuries old, our programs are constantly evolving to
remain up to date with the rapidly changing world.
